A Protest Rally against clearway extension times in specific shopping strips will be held on Sunday 26TH OCTOBER at 11am on the steps of State Parliament House, Spring Street, Melbourne.

ALL business owners, employees, residents, family & friends are needed to attend to make one huge Protest. All Trader Associations should attend

At the end of the month long Islamic period of fasting during daylight hours called Ramadan, the members of the Islamic community participate in a festival known as Eid to mark the end of Ramadan. This festival involves large and small scale gatherings for food, fun and being together with family and friends.

In northern Melbourne, a large communal Eid Festival is organised by the Arabic Society of Victoria. Somewhere between 20-30,000 people attend the Broadmeadows Eid festival to take advantage of all manner of stalls offering food, drink, clothing and a variety of other items.

All Greens members and supporters in the North-West Ward (and nearby areas) are invited to a BBQ and get together on SUNDAY 19 OCTOBER 2008 from 1pm onwards.
